Danish-Hungarian environmental protection and energy project
"Bound for East" is a "business to business" preliminary cooperation-project launched for Danish and Hungarian companies dealing with environmental protection and energy utilization. This project aims the new Eastern European markets, for example that of Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro and Croatia. The "Bound for East" project is financed by the Regional Development Fund of the County of Aarhus.
The purpose of this preliminary project with the motto "Let's play in the same team" is to search for Danish and Hungarian companies, dealing with environmental protection and energy utilization, which show interest in a mutual economic and export initiative. The preliminary project also locates other co-operating partners in Hungary, Denmark and in the targeted countries.
The project's task moreover is to form and try out concrete co-operational models among the above-mentioned companies in order that these firms gain new market shares or expand their present market positions in Eastern Europe.
The mainly targeted fields are: waste management, wastewater treatment, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources.

Searching for partner firms and other co-operating organizations in Hungary and Denmark - Assessing the sources and potentials of the companies and describing the needs, possibilities and prospects in Central and Eastern Europe related to this industrial sector.

Searching for potential partners in Ukraine, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Croatia etc. Drawing up the project plan (aims, participants, co-operating partners, structure of the project, functions, action plan, deadlines, budget and financial plan)

Assigning and describing concrete part-projects, finding the actual and potential public procurements in the field of environmental protection and energy utilization in Central Eastern-Europe. We present the project in co-operation with the participants and modify it, if necessary.

Organizing a seminar for Danish and Hungarian partner companies in Hungary. Giving final shape of the project-descriptions, possible applications and sending them to the competent authorities.
The preliminary project is realized by the Danish Orikon Aps, FOF-Aarhus and DBO as the secretariat of the project. Besides, the project co-operates with the Royal Danish Embassy in Budapest, the Embassy of Hungarian Republic in Copenhagen, the Hungarian Consulate in Aarhus, ITD Hungary (Investment and Trade Development Agency) and with the relevant trade organizations in both countries.
